State-of-the-Art Technology

State of the art dental technology

Dr. Nguyen is a firm believer in using state-of-the-art equipment and staying up-to-date on the latest technology because it helps her provide her patients with more effective and efficient care while also making their dental treatment more comfortable. She has equipped her office with the latest dental technologies, including the following:

3D Imaging for Diagnosis and Treatment Planning

CT Scanner

Dr. Nguyen uses an advanced 3D cone beam CT scanner to capture detailed images of your teeth, nerves, bone and sinuses for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.

Digital X-Rays

Digital X-rays help Dr. Nguyen to get an accurate view of your teeth and mouth for a complete and accurate diagnosis. Images are captured in an instant, making the process more comfortable for patients compared to traditional film X-rays. Digital X-rays also emit 90% less radiation than traditional X-ray machines, and the resulting images can be viewed immediately.

Intraoral Camera

An intraoral camera is a tool that Dr. Nguyen uses to look at the interior of your mouth more closely. The camera is positioned at the end of a lightweight, stylish wand and takes high-quality color pictures of your teeth, gums and more from inside your mouth. The intraoral camera is connected to a computer, and the images it captures are transmitted to the computer where they can be seen by both the patient and the dentist immediately. These captured images can be arranged, enlarged and stored easily.

Ultrasonic Scaler

Ultrasonic scalers are used during teeth cleanings to remove hardened deposits of plaque and bacteria from the surfaces of your teeth (a process known as “scaling”). Ultrasonic scalers have a special tip that vibrates at ultrasonic frequencies, and this breaks up the hardened deposits, making their removal easier.

Electronic Handpieces

Dr. Nguyen uses electronic handpieces rather than air-driven ones, which drastically reduce aerosols in the operatories, making treatment safer for you. They also produce reduced vibrations for patient comfort.
